Something new is coming to Sony's Xperia smartphone line, with a 5-inch screen, a 20.7-megapixel camera and running a 2.2GHz processor, a Taiwan tech site says. Tech news site ePrice published images Tuesday of what it says is the long-rumored Sony Xperia i1 Android-based smartphone. The device, believed to be codenamed "Honami," is supposedly shipping this fall as Sony's flagship smartphone, CNET reported. The device's screen will be a 1080p HD unit, and providing the computing power will be a 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, ePrice said. The specs ePrice revealed include near-field communication, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. The Xperia i1 may be revealed during the Sony IFA press conference on September 4th, with a view to shipping before the end of this year, CNET said.
