Tehran - FNA
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expressed satisfaction in the cooperation between Tehran and Moscow in building and installing nuclear facilities, and said the cooperation will continue this year in the form of the joint construction of two 1,000-MW nuclear reactors."There is desirable cooperation between Iranian and Russian experts, which can continue in future," Ahmadinejad said, addressing a ceremony held in Tehran on Tuesday to mark the 'National Day of the Nuclear Technology'.He referred to Iran's plans to further develop its nuclear industry, and said the construction of "at least two 1,000-MW reactors" will start in the current Iranian year (which began on March 21) "with the cooperation of the foreign side".In relevant remarks in March, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Fereidoon Abbasi announced that Tehran is ready to cooperate with other countries in building nuclear reactors for power plants."We are ready for partnership with the foreign sides to build reactors for power plants," Abbasi said at the time."We have had some proposals in this regard from Russia and the western states," he added.
