An elementary school teacher from eastern China was sentenced to 14 years in prison for sexually abusing seven female students. Tao Biaogong, who taught at the Shangyuan Primary School in Jiangxi province, was arrested in July after allegations were made that he sexually assaulted seven of his students, China's state-run news agency Xinhua reported. Prosecutors said Tao molested the girls in class on several occasions from September 2012 to May 2013. Six of the victims contracted sexually transmitted diseases due to the abuse. The former teacher was sentenced Friday.
