Sheikha Fariha highlights social impact of Ideal Mother Award

President of the Kuwait Association for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Wednesday the Ideal Mother Award aims to strengthen family coherence and the social texture. "The Award promotes children's sense of gratitude towards parents particularly mothers," she said in a press conference on the occasion of the Mother's Day. "We also seek to foster the skills of mothers and make them better able to bring up their children and look after their families in terms of study, culture and behavior," said Sheikha Fariha, also Chairperson of Al-Fatat Sport Club. "The activities of the Award have gone beyond the local scale to honor mothers from the GCC and other Arab countries living in Kuwait due to the similarity of the cultural backgrounds of an Arab family," she added Sheikh Fariha thanked His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the government for their support to the Association and its activities.
