Saudi Arabia will announce in the coming days more female-only jobs for more than one million unemployed women in the country, according to Al Eqtisadiya newspaper Sunday. The initiative is part of a plan to eliminate unemployment rate by 2025. Unemployment rate of the country now stands at around 11. 7 percent. Certain actions will be done with ongoing growth of female jobseekers of the age group from 18 to 30, as the percentage increased from 28.4 percent in 2009 to 33.2 percent last year. Undersecretary of the Labor Ministry Fahad Al Takhaifi said that the oil-rich country has more than 1 million unemployed females. To deal with the issue, jobs at women-related product shops have been allocated only for females last year, which alone provided jobs for more than 50,000 Saudi women, he added.
