
A deputy principal of a primary school in north China's Hebei Province was sentenced to death by a local court on Thursday for kidnapping and killing a girl and abusing her body. Yang Haijun, 46, former deputy principal of Wang'an Township Central Primary School of Laiyuan County, was accused of kidnapping a 6-year-old girl on July 27 to demand ransom from her parents, according to the Baoding Municipal Intermediate People's Court. Yang suffocated the girl to death after she shouted. After that Yang abused her body and buried her near the border between Laiyuan and Weixian counties on the same day, according to the court. Yang was also deprived of his political rights for life and all his personal wealth was confiscated, according to the court ruling.
