Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the meeting of GCC military women, organised by the SCW in collaboration with Ministry of State for Defence Affairs and the Ministry of Interior, will kick off on Sunday.
The meeting is among the main events to be organised as part of the Bahraini Women’s Day 2014, themed "Women in the Military Field".
The meeting aims to shed light on women’s success stories in the military fields, and highlight GCC women’s participation in the building march of their countries.
It will also explain the role played by GCC women in the military field, and stress the need to ensure the sustainability of women’s participation in the military field for the benefit of the armed forces of GCC states.
It is worth noting that HRH Princess Sabeeka announced during her meeting with women leaders on January 8, 2014, that the Bahraini Women’s Day 2014 would be devoted to highlighting women’s achievements in the military field.
