President Park Geun-hye vowed Thursday to forge ahead with her reform drive to remedy long-ignored abuses rampant in South Korea's economy and society. "Our country is now standing at a very important historic crossroads because it is time to innovate our economy and society and lay the foundation for yet another great leap forward," Park said at a national prayer breakfast meeting, renewing her commitment to correct abnormal practices "in every corner of our society." Park said that the recently announced three-year economic innovation plan is also aimed at "fundamentally setting right abnormal areas of our economy to lay the foundation for the sustainable growth and takeoff" of Asia's fourth-largest economy.
