
Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq, and a delegation representing UNAMI Mission in Iraq, headed by George Boston, discussed political and security situation and effects of Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons' incident and their reflection on local and regional security situation. A statement issued on Sunday, July 28, by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office said that Mutlaq called for serious investigation of the reasons and the prisons and prisoners' escape, as well as the killing of large number of inmates, guardsmen and security men, and its effects on the country's security situation. For his part, Boston said that the UN Mission exerts its utmost to reach reality about what has happened and it has formed .
