Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, JCC Nael Kabariti met on Tuesday with Georgia’s Ambassador to Jordan Zorab Eristafy to discuss the means to forge closer trade and economic ties between the two countries. Kabariti said the relations between the two countries can serve as a solid basis to boost economic cooperation, increase trade exchange and establish joint projects. He noted that earlier talks with the Georgian side about signing a cooperation agreement and establishing a joint business council with the participation of the JCC and the Georgian Chamber of Trade and Industry, were still under review. He said such initiatives would contribute to further enhancing bilateral ties. The JCC chairman also stressed the need to boost cooperation between the private sector in both the countries, thus encouraging the setting up of joint projects and cooperation in the trade and tourism fields. He said the chamber was ready to provide the Georgian Embassy with data about economic and investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
