Israeli forces continued on Monday banning scores of female Muslim protesters, known as Mourabitoun, from entering Al Aqsa Mosque, Muslims' third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al Nabawi in Medina, at a time it gave an access to female settlers.

The occupation forces set up iron barriers near the mosque gates to ban the entry of the women, whose names were put in lists and distributed to officers stationed at all gates.

For two weeks now, the same women have been denied access to the mosque by Israeli forces, claiming they were troublemakers and that they attack settlers at the compound.

The non-violent Muslim worshipers protested in front of al Silsila Gate, lifting banners and chanting slogans in protest at Israeli schemes to divide the mosque between Muslims and Jews, eyewitnesses.

Meanwhile, groups of right-wing Jews were seen entering the mosque through Magharba gate and touring the compound heavily escorted by Israeli police officers.

This gate has been almost entirely designated for the entry of Jewish people into the Al Aqsa compound.

Israel have been trying hard over the past decades to change the demographic makeup of al Quds by constructing illegal settlements, destroying historical sites, expelling the local Palestinian population and now by trying to divide Al Aqsa Mosque
