Manama - BNA
The Health Ministry held a festival at Amwaj Islands marking the Bahraini Women's Day, in the presence of Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Mubarak Bu Onq, officials and guests. Dr. Aisha toured the health exhibition and met doctors and nurses in charge. She underlined the significance of celebrating the Bahraini Women's Day which is, she said, an opportunity to honour the Health Ministry's female staff for their outstanding efforts in serving people in Bahrain. Then, Health Ministry Health Promotion Director Dr. Amal Al Jowder recited a poem and dedicated it to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women. The festival featured various activities including a walk marathon and medical check-ups.
