
Noura Al Suwaidi, Director General of the General Women's Union (GWU), attended a ceremony held Thursday at the Union to honour the staff of the union and champions of the productive families on the occasion of the Mother's Day.The ceremony opened with a speech for H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union '&' the Family Development Foundation and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, urging mothers to put their homes as a priority."Raising a good and happy generation of children is more important than any post a working mother can assume," she said.Noura Al Suwaidi extended greetings to Sheikha Fatima and thanked her for the unlimited support to the women and mothers."Her Highness Sheikha Fatima's support has earned the mothers, children and families great achievements and led her to be named 'Mother of the Nation' in March 21st, 2005. A well-deserved title," she added.
