Fake blind woman busted in Puglia, cited for fraud

A fake blind woman has been cited for fraud and her assets seized in the Puglia city of Monopoli, Italian police said Wednesday. The 47-year-old woman on benefits for "total blindness" was filmed walking about the city, choosing merchandise and paying without any assistance. Police said that the woman recieved 180,000 euros in State assistance over the last 14 years.
