Islamabad - UPI
Pakistan's high court said it will hear a petition for the dismissal of charges against the Yemeni widow of Osama bin Laden. Amal Ahmad Abdul Fattah and her five young children have been in custody since last year when the al-Qaida leader was killed at his Abbottabad complex during a raid by U.S. Navy SEALs, the government-supported Associated Press of Pakistan reported Wednesday. Her brother, Zakarya Ahmad Abd Alftah, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court to quash cases against his sister and allow her and her children to return to Yemen. After hearing the case in brief, the court said it would examine the petition Thursday and decide whether to go forward.
