Chinese female entrepreneurs highlight creativity at global summit

The experiences shared by Chinese female entrepreneurs were positively echoed at the ongoing Global Summit of Women here.

"Success depends on creation. Now many women entrepreneurs can find new ways to develop their businesses in pivotal areas," said Long Jiangwen, head of the Chinese delegation for the summit and vice president of the China Association of Women Entrepreneurs.

Long voiced the belief that women's sensitiveness makes them more creative than men in some fields.

"Innovation helps avoid risk, and this is where women have an intuition to command," said Long.

Women are proved to be more sensitive to risk and are faster to respond than men in the fields of purchase and consumption, she said.

"As the world has entered the internet era, women have found more space to use their inherent talent," she added.

Lu Aihui, a company CEO, told Xinhua that her enterprise has taken its social responsibility to provide jobs for women farmers and career opportunities for college girls.

"I believe these women can realize their dreams sooner or later," she said.

Other countries' delegates also noticed the sparkling quality of their Chinese peers.

"I met several Chinese women entrepreneurs and found they all have a background of good education, are familiar with high technologies and proficient in transforming talent into success," said Isabelle Gougenheim, chief of the International Action and Women's Rights Association under the French Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women's Rights.

The three-day summit opened Thursday with a theme of "Creative Women, Creative Economies."

"Women have bigger ability in innovation. Now women are showing excellent talent in social and economic fields," said Irene Natividad, the summit's president from the Philippines, at the opening ceremony.

"Our goal is to not only be the basis of the economy, but to be the leaders," she told over 1,000 participants from governments and the economic and business sectors worldwide.
