A man believed to be attacking women with a needle may have struck at least 11 times, police detectives in Birmingham, England, say. West Midlands police say six more alleged victims have come forward in addition to the five cases they were investigating last week. Police released a photograph of the man they seek, taken by closed-circuit television on Nov. 3. It shows a man lighting a cigarette on a city street after a nearby woman, 30, claimed she felt a sharp pain in her thigh, which was later confirmed as a puncture wound, the British newspaper The Guardian reported Wednesday. An expanded version of the photo shows the presence of a second man, who police say may have information about the suspect. None of the victims has suffered long-term effects of the attacks, the newspaper said.
