Bride shaves hair on wedding day for cancer fundraising

A bride shaved her head on her wedding day in an effort to raise money for cancer research and the response has been overwhelming. Roxanna Falla decided to shave off her hair for the charity Cancer Research UK to honer her late grandfather and make him a part of her special day. The response has been overwhelming. People from around the world have donated, and she's topped her goal by more than 250%. Before the big moment she said, "I will be bald and proud." Falls said that she and her husband both suffered the loss of a loved one due to cancer, her grandfather and his grandmother. "This is just a little about what they meant to us and the memories they left," Falla said on her JustGiving page. "We are just glad that we can help future research get closer to finding a cure so that other people can get more time with their loved ones." An hour after their wedding ceremony, Mick Greaves shaved his wife's hair in front of 80 guests at their reception.
