A man faces a capital murder charge for allegedly killing his live-in girlfriend, said police in Bedford, Texas. An arrest warrant was issued Monday morning for Robert Atlas, 26. Police began searching for him after the body of Tracy Anderson, 26, was found in the apartment they had been sharing for three weeks in Bedford, a suburb in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Police went to the apartment Sunday after getting a call from Anderson's mother, who had not heard from her since Friday. They found the door frame damaged. "It appeared someone had forced their way inside of the apartment," Police Lt. David Smith said. "Officers found the apartment unlocked, went inside and found her dead in the apartment." Smith said Anderson had been stabbed repeatedly. She was believed to be pregnant. Police said Sunday they were concerned about Atlas's welfare. But the arrest warrant was issued Monday morning. Atlas and Anderson lived in the Capital Shoals complex, where Bedford's last homicide occurred. Cedric Allen Ricks is scheduled to go on trial in May, charged with killing his ex-girlfriend, Roxann Sanchez and one of her two sons and wounding the other boy.
