Ban sends thank-you message to AWO after receiving outcome of conference on refugees News Also in the news

Director General of Arab Women Organization (AWO) Mervat el Talawi said that the organization received a thank-you message from UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for sending the outcome and recommendations of a conference on female refugees and displaced in the Arab region.
In a statement Tuesday, Talawi said that in the message, Ban asserted the importance of these recommendations concerning the refugees’ issue and the necessity to protect women and girls from the impact of armed disputes.
