The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) issued a number of booklets on the sidelines of this year's Bahrain Women's Day, themed "Women in the Military Field".
The first included research papers presented by Bahraini and GCC researchers during the GCC Military Women meeting, hosted by the Kingdom on November 30, 2014.
The SCW also issued another booklet entitled "Women in the Military Field", in which it highlighted Bahraini women's military march, including mainly their contributions to the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), and the Interior Ministry.
The BDF also issued a booklet themed "Women in Bahrain Defence Force", documenting Bahraini women's role in enhancing the military and administrative march of the BDF's various units.
The Interior Minister also issued, in cooperation with the SCW, a booklet entitled: "Women Police Leadership and Achievements". It sheds light on the rich history of women police in the kingdom since 1970.
The booklets will enrich the SCW's library regarding Bahraini women's landmark contributions in the military field.
