
A 19-year-old woman was killed in a skiing accident at Vermont's Sugarbush Ski Resort, officials said. The woman, whose name was not reported, was skiing with friends and family on the Lower Rim Run trail Saturday morning when she lost control and hit a sign, The Republican, Springfield, Mass., reported. She was pronounced dead when she arrived at a Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin, Vermont State Police said. Chief Medical Examiner's office in Burlington will perform an autopsy, police said. On Jan. 17, Skyler Ormond, 22, of Canandaigua, N.Y., died while snowboarding at a ski resort in Killington, Vt. Police said one of Ormond's friends fell in front of him and when Ormond swerved to avoid him, he lost control and tumbled through a wooded area, sustaining fatal injuries.
