GNEII is a collaboration between Khalifa University, Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) and Texas A&M University’s Nuclear Security Science and Policy Institute (NSSPI). It was designed to give future nuclear energy leaders the necessary knowledge to support them in future decision making. The students were taught by over 10 instructors from around the world including, the United States, Russia, South Korea, Brazil and the United Kingdom. ‘Collectively our instructors have over 250 years of experience in the nuclear field,’ said Abdelaziz Al Madhloum, Manager of GNEII, ‘All of them are subject matter experts in different areas in the field of nuclear engineering and technology. They are the ideal people to be fostering the new generation of nuclear professionals and future decision makers.’ The next step for the students in the GNEII program is their research project and it will last for 3 months.
