University of Bahrain (UoB) President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi today hailed the spirit of fair play and honest competition in the elections of the students' council members. He described the elections as part of the fledgling democratic experience in the Kingdom of Bahrain, pledging full support for the newly-elected students' council. He also hailed the massive turn out in the 2013 elections, which reflects students' responsibility awareness of the importance of their elected council, as well as their keenness on ensuring the success of the democratic polls. University of Bahrain (UoB) President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed, deputy chancellors, deans of colleges and members of the high elections committee toured the Sakhir Campus this morning. Meanwhile, Students' Affairs Dean Dr. Adnan Al-Tamimi lauded students for taking part in the democratic elections and abiding the electoral procedures. He revealed that the electoral turnout topped 66. 45 percent, as 4757 students took part in the polls out of 7159.
