Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nu'aimi said that the Ministry has plan in place to develop "Citizenship Education" curricula.
The Ministry's plan aim to reinforce the concepts of tolerance, mutual respect and peaceful co-existence in cooperation with the Geneva-based UNESCO in line with the Ministry's vision since the launching of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's reform project to boost the values of national unity, solidarity and dialogue, according to Dr. Al-Nu'aimi.
The Minister added that "Ministry specialists in collaboration with the UNESCO experts are currently studying this development plan in detail, including its application in several schools.
The United Nations each year celebrates the World Peace Day on September 21 . This year's celebrations come under the motto: "The Right of Peoples to Peace" marking the 30th anniversary of the UN General Assembly (UNGA)'s Declaration of the Right of Peoples to Peace.
