UAE's education minister urges wider intra-GCC cooperation

The UAE's Minister of Education Humaid Al-Qattami today urged double efforts and wider cooperation and join action between the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) and ministries of education of the bloc's member state. "Education is the secret to the progress of nations and is now the primary concern or leaders and peoples alike," Al-Qattami said in opening remarks at the 1st conference of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) in the Bahraini capital. The minister is the chair of the 2-day conference and head of the UAE's delegation to the event.
