Education and Higher learning Minister Hassan Diab followed up closely the official exams' course, visiting the center of exams dedicated for students with special needs. Later on, the Minister visited the Children Cancer Center, Saint Jude, at the American University of Beirut where 19 students suffering from cancer sit for official exams. The Minister felicitated those students for their perseverance and strong will, as some of them are receiving their medical treatments and acquiring education and knowledge at the same time. Diab told journalists that the Ministry has issued a number of memorandums aimed at regulating the official exams and allowing students with special needs to take these tests. "This dossier has been studied carefully, and soon, similar centers will be opened in Lebanon," he announced, assuring that amongst his priorities is to give students with disabilities equal chances as their normal peers. Separately, Minister Diab received the Tunisian Ambassador to Lebanon, Fawzi Ballout, and received an invitation from his Tunisian counterpart to visit Tunisia, the soonest possible, so as to reactivate bilateral relations in the field of education.
