The visit aims to examine the education systems in these isolated and indigenous communities and learn of the challenges these communities face. The Educate A Child programme, which is part of the Education Above All Foundation, is exploring partnership opportunities with regional authorities and local partners, to facilitate technologically innovative approaches to primary education in the region. The aim would be to increase access and retention for primary-age children in schooling. After the visit, Her Highness said: "It is fascinating to see the approaches to education being taken in these indigenous communities. The Educate A Child programme launched last year in Doha is striving to support the hardest to reach children gain access to quality education. We can learn a great deal from the education initiatives I have seen today, which are culturally-appropriate while at the same time seeking to enable these children be part of the mainstream school system. Technology and innovation can have an important role to play in such efforts.
