Qatar University (QU) students have spoken out about the lack of adequate parking in the varsity premises, local Arabic daily Arrayah has reported. The QU administration has warned that people parking cars in unassigned areas would face traffic violation fines and Traffic Police patrols inside the University would see to this. QU received more than 11,000 students this year, a number unprecedented in its history. However, an official source at QU told Arrayah that new parking facilities, that will accommodate more than 500 vehicles are scheduled to be opened soon at the university . Yet, the demand is still high for parking lots close to lecture halls, the report said.
