
Egypt's Minister of Information Salah Abdel-Maksoud has held talks with Minister of Higher Education Mostafa Mosaad about enhancing the role of the higher education channel in terms of both form and content, and to increase its role in serving university students and the society. The ministers also discussed ways to benefit from scientific research, maximising student activities and developing the skills of university students in order to meet the needs of the labour market. A protocol which included different areas of cooperation was agreed to be signed between the two ministries. The meeting was also attended by head of the Radio and Television Federation Shokry Abu Omaira, the Minister of Information's media development adviser Ismail al-Shishtawy, head of the specialised channels sector Abdel Fattah Hassan, Minister of Higher Education's media adviser Adly Reda, Minister of Higher Education's adviser Ata Barakat and officials from two education channels.
