Sisi sheds light on role of national newspapers in society

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives supporting the state-owned press institutions during the coming period so that they could restore their pioneering role in society, Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said on Sunday.
The premier made the statement during a tour of Dar Al Marefa publishing establishment.
"The government is keen to solve problems and challenges facing the state-owned press institutions," Mahlab stressed.
He also called upon the establishment's journalists to work hard during the coming period to protect the country.
