The resolutions adopted by the Program and External Relations (PX) Commission of the Executive Board of the UNESCO on occupied Palestine dominated the front page headlines in Palestinian Arabic dailies on Thursday.

The dailies reported that the Executive Board of the UNESCO adopted resolutions on Palestine by consensus.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida added that the resolutions on Occupied Palestine state that the two Palestinian sites of Al-?aram al-Ibr?h?m? in Hebron and Bil?l ibn Rab?? Mosque in Bethlehem are an integral part of the occupied Palestinian Territory.

On the other hand, al-Quds opted to highlight that Qatar Development Fund has launched “Gaza Deserves Life” campaign to raise $150 million in aid for Gaza.

Additionally, the dailies covered Israeli forces and settlers’ attacks against Palestinians in the occupied territories.

Al-Quds and al-Ayyam reported that Israeli Jewish settlers attacked a high school in Urif village in the northern West Bank district of Nablus, reportedly throwing stones at students while inside their classrooms and leading to disruptions of classes and material damages.

They added that settlers also stormed Qaryout village, south of Nablus, slashing the tires of several Palestinian-owned vehicles and spray-painting racist slogans.

According to al-Ayyam, these settlers’ attacks came as Israeli forces continued a massive manhunt for the Palestinian shooter who killed two Israeli settlers at their workplace in the illegal Barkan settlement in the occupied West Bank.

According to al-Hayat al-Jadida, Israeli forces detained 24 Palestinians, including a woman, during multiple predawn raids across the West Bank.

Al-Quds said that Israeli forces showered Palestinian protestors with tear gas canisters in Kufr Nimeh town , northwest of Ramallah, causing a number of them to suffocate.

Moreover, the dailies said that Israeli occupation authorities are going to seize eight dunums (approximately two acres) of land belonging to the northern West Bank village of al-Sawiyeh.

Israeli authorities also reportedly approved the construction of eight new settler units to expand the illegal Migdal Oz settlement, built on lands belonging to Beit Fajjar village, south of Bethlehem.

According to al-Quds and al-Hayat al-Jadida, Palestinians foiled an attempt by Israeli settlers to kidnap a Palestinian boy from al-Lubban al-Sharqiya village, south of Nablus.

Highlighting the situation at flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, al-Quds said that a total of 106 Jewish fanatics forced their way into the holy site as Israeli police barred six Waqf-appointed guards access to the site.

Furthermore, al-Quds published a feature story indicating that Israeli occupation authorities have seized more farmlands belonging to the northern West Bank district of Salfit for the construction of settlement factories.

According to al-Quds and al-Ayyam, Israeli military beefed up its presence around the Palestinian village of Khan al-Ahmar, under the imminent threat of demolition.

The dailies covered the case of Lara Alqasem, an American graduate student of Palestinian descent who has been recently detained at Ben Gurion airport purportedly for supporting the boycott campaign against Israel.

Al-Ayyam reported Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanou stating that the delivery of Qatari-funded fuel to Gaza’s sole power plant is the first among other steps to alleviate the crises gripping the besieged coastal enclave.

According to al-Hayat al-Jadida, Azerbaijan has allocated $200,000 in aid to the UN relief agency, UNRWA.

Yet, the same newspaper reported head of the Palestinian Olympic Committee Jibril Rajoub hailing the EU for barring Israeli broadcaster Kan from showing World Cup and Euro 2020 football matches in illegal settlements.
