
Yonhap News Agency signed an agreement Tuesday to support the successful hosting of the international conference on information and communication technologies (ICTs) slated to take place in South Korea later this year. In a signing ceremony arranged by the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Technology in Seoul, Yonhap, the host news wire service for the 19th International Telecommunications Union (ITU) plenipotentiary conference, joined other media, telecommunication and airline companies in pledging support for the gathering that will run from Oct. 20 through Nov. 7. Under the agreement signed by company president and CEO Song Hyun-seung, Yonhap will provide real-time, in-depth coverage in seven languages, including Korean, English and Chinese, as well as photos of the event.
