Chinese News Agency Xinhua Editor in Chief He Ping underlined here on Tuesday his agency's keenness to boost cooperation with its Kuwaiti counterpart KUNA.
Saying that relations between the two agencies have spanned over two decades, Ping told KUNA that it was delighted that the Kuwaiti news agency was contemplating opening an office in the Chinese capital.
He said his agency was eager to help KUNA set up its office in Beijing and to work with it at maximum levels on all aspects of news gathering and transmitting.
Meanwhile, the Chinese ambassador to Kuwait Cui Jianchun applauded, in a statement to KUNA, the burgeoning relationship between both countries, particularly in the fields of energy, finance, and media.
