
The General Secretary of the International Federation of Journalists, Beth Costa, has recorded a short message to IFJ's affiliates to mark International Day to End Impunity this Saturday, 23 November. In her message, the General Secretary calls on affiliates to take action on this global day to demand justice for those who have been targeted for exercising their right to freedom of expression, and to shed light on the issue of impunity. She also urges affiliates to support the IFJ's campaign to ‘End Impunity' for violence against journalists and to send letters to the leaders of Iraq, Pakistan and Russia to call for them and their governments to address the issue of impunity for violence against journalists in these countries.
