Sudanese authorities reject idea of censorship

The Sudanese National Telecommunication Corporation (NTC) has denied the censorship of any internet websites for political reasons. NTC director Azzedine Kamel announced in a press conference that progress is being made to protect online freedom. Only porn is being banned, he added. Kamel said that nothing was done to silence the opposition as long as they do not cross red lines – such as defamation and religion.
