
The third edition of the Social Media Forum (SMMF2015) will open in Bahrain on January 28 under the patronage of Telecommunications and Transportation Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed
The International Social Media Club(Bahrain-chapter) will organise the two-day event under the theme "Social Media and Entrepreneurship" and in partnership with the E-Government Authority and Zain Bahrain
The organisers have lined up a series of lectures and workshops which will focus on encouraging young entrepreneurs in charge of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Leading social media experts and specialist will take part in the forum, during which regional and international youth success stories will be showcased.
The minister stressed the importance of the symposium which is part of the Government-led efforts to keep abreast of shifting business trends, encourage youngsters to seize emerging opportunities. The age of the internet and social media channels have provided the possibility for individuals and companies to spur growth without pumping in massive investments", he said. The International Social Media Club(Bahrain-chapter) President Ali Sabkar also stressed the importance of the upcoming symposium, describing Bahrain as the home social media in the Middle East
