SIS urges media to be accurate before releasing any news on voting

The State Information Service (SIS) urged on Monday both local and foreign media outlets to be accurate and to verify the authenticity of any information before publishing them to avoid any confusion at this critical stage in the history of Egypt. Presidential vote started earlier in the day in Egypt to pick a new president of the country for the next four years. Voters have to choose between Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, represented by the star symbol on the ballot, and Nasserist politician Hamdeen Sabahi, represented by the eagle.
