Press syndicate to coordinate with police to protect reporters

Head of the Syndicate of Journalists Diaa Rashwan said on Saturday that he met with interior minister Mohamed Ibrahim and a number of officials of the Interior Ministry to discuss means to protect reporters. Rashwan said that the Interior Ministry will deliver proof vests and tear gas masks to be distributed to journalists. He said that that an operations room has been formed in the headquarters of the syndicate to provide protection to field journalists through coordination with a similar room at the interior ministry
