Russian Premier Dmitry Medvedev has expressed condolences to family and friends of Andrei Stenin, photojournalist of Russian state-run Rossiya Segodnya news agency (formerly RIA Novosti), killed while working in Ukraine.
“It is a huge grief when the life of a young, talented and vigorous man is cut off by a war in which he was not fighting, by a war whose horrors and injustice he was trying to show us with his photos,” Medvedev wrote on his Facebook page.
“It is probably the highest form of love for people to face bullets to show that there must be no wars on the Earth,” he wrote.
“Andrei was in many hot spots across the globe and his pictures and reports will always remind us of him,” Medvedev said.
