The National Media Council (NMC) has launched 'media messages to community' initiative in order to define its regulatory and media role to achieve its strategic vision through attaining global standards in organising the media sector in the U.A.E., and to develop an integrated national media sector which highlights the status of the country internally and externally.
This comes in light of the paradigm shift being witnessed by the NMC in its plans and projects, where the strategic and operational plans of the Council and the contents of policies, plans and programmes were approved to contribute to the development of media work in the country, which highlights the comprehensive cultural renaissance witnessed by the U.A.E. in various fields and in line with the strategic directions of the Federal Government.
NMC organises the media sector in the country and participates in International exhibitions and other global media events to highlight the image of the U.A.E., in addition to its role in communicating with the Arab and social media, as well as the media, which operates in the free media zones in the country.
The implementation on initiative will begin from next week with a frequency of one message a week written both in Arabic and English languages on the pages of National Media Council in the social networking sites: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (@nmcuae).
Alia Al Yasi, Director of Government Communication Department at NMC said that media messages to community initiative comes in implementation of the directives of the Federal Government in providing efficient and excellent services to meet the expectations of customers and their needs and to contribute to educating members of the community of the nature of NMC's work and its strategic objectives and services provided by it.
She pointed out that these messages reflect the Council's keen interest and desire to communication constantly and directly with clients of media institutions, media and individuals, as well as its eagerness to communicate with students and researchers of media faculties.
