Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab denied allegations which said that he was intervened to suspend Dream 2’s talk show “10 O’Clock”, which is presented by popular media host Wael el-Ebrashy.
In a phone call with Al-Tahrir TV Channel, Mahlab hailed media's role in Egypt and affirmed his keenness on interacting with media persons.
He also said that el-Ebrashy and the owner of Dream channels attended the government's meeting with media persons.
Mahlab further said that he asked el-Ebrashy to continue his program again.
The prime minister also said that media was a strong weapon in changing the Egyptian identity in the previous regime.
The live broadcast of Ebrashy's program was suddenly cut on Sunday during a broadcast of a report about the death of a child at a school in Matruh governorate.
