Kuwait - KUNA

Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Sabah noted in a press statement on Tuesday that a new law organizing the electronic media was in its final stage of preparedness within the halls of the National Assembly.
He said it was necessary to wait for the input of lawmakers regarding this law which he emphasized would not organize the social networks but the electronic media, including the internet, radio and TV broadcasting and electronic news services, among other things.
The new law should help those in the media to operate more efficiently and credibly, said the minister.
