Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah expressed his condolences over the passing away of Abdulrazzaq Sayyed Hashim Al-Henayan, one of Kuwait's prominent media figures.
Al-Henayan, who passed away at the age of 78, joined Kuwait radio as a broadcaster in 1952 at the age of 16. He contributed greatly in recording and collecting old songs that were broadcasted at the launch of (Program Two Radio Station) in 1964.
Sheikh Salman, who is also Chairman of National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, told KUNA on Monday that Al-Henayan left his fingerprints on many literary and cultural radio programs.
The late broadcaster was a dedicated man who loved his job and excelled in it, Sheikh Salman said.
