
Kuwaiti Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has left here after attending the opening ceremony of the 22nd Arabian Gulf Cup tournament, which kick-started here on Thursday.
The minister's accompanying delegation includes Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and other senior officials of the authority.
He was seen off at the airport by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad and several Kuwaiti diplomats. Earlier on Friday, the Kuwaiti national football team snatched their first three points in the 22nd Gulf Cup through a hard-won victory against the Iraqi team 1-0 in their Group B encounter at Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Stadium.
The only goal of the game was scored by Fahad Al-Enezi in the last minute through a wonderful pass by Bader Al-Muttawa.
