
The Ministry of Information Undersecretary Salah Al-Mubaraki said that the Third Africa-Arab Summit has been granted huge media coverage which is up to the level of the event. The ministry, under the instructions of the Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has shown that it is fully adept in covering the international conferences and summits hosted by Kuwait, he said speaking to KUNA on the eve of the summit. In cooperation with other state bodies, the ministry has placed a solid working plan which reached a high level at the start of the supplementary Arab Economic Forum, held between November 11 and 12. This coverage included live TV and radio broadcasting and documentaries aimed at the event. The biggest media event, however, was the launch of the media centre on November 16. The centre was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Head of the Higher Committee for Conferences, State Minister for Cabinet and Minister of Health Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah. Both the Minister of Information Sheikh Salman and Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammed Abulhassan attended, he said. These centres have witnessed constant improvements in line with international standards in their ability to host the press around the clock. The arrival of the leaders and delegation chiefs received close coverage, while a number of presenters and programmes will transmit from Bayan Palace on Tuesday, where a studio has been placed
