Ministry of Information is to begin Sunday a three-day national campaign to collect donations in support of the Syrian people and in cooperation with Kuwait Relief Society. In a statement, the ministry said that the campaign comes in response to a humanitarian appeal launched by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in solidarity with the suffering and extreme conditions of the Syrian people as a result of the current developments there. The ministry added that the activities of the three-day campaign would include live broadcast donations from seven o'clock local time in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening through the Kuwait state television. The Kuwait Relief Society is a charity organization to aid those in need since more than 25 years under the name of Kuwaiti Joint Committee for Relief and its membership includes 16 bodies and a charity institute, in addition to a general public society.
