
Integrating the special needs community into society is crucial to making use of their potentials in the state's development plan, said Minister of Information and State Minister for Youth Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah. Kuwait's hosting of a drawing competition for people of special needs reflects the commitment to this community assumed by Kuwait and its Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) partners, a ministry statement said on his behalf. The Kuwaiti leadership has pledged commitment to these efforts, adopting a law for the formation of a body tasked with the affairs of the special needs community, the minister added. He also noted to the importance of art in helping people express their emotions, and the need for state institutions to promote this.
