
Board Chairman and Director General of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Duaij Al-Sabah received on Monday US Ambassador to Kuwait Douglas Silliman where the role played by the media in the consolidation of ties between the two countries was discussed.
Sheikh Mubarak said in a statement that KUNA was eager to bolster Kuwait's ties with various countries of the world, as well as enhancing historic relations with the United States.
He added that the national agency also wants to expand the existing media cooperation with the US to serve the interests of both countries and peoples.
For his part, Silliman extolled the role played by KUNA in various domains, describing its news as "neutral and credible." Sheikh Mubarak also received Director of the Middle East News Agency in Kuwait Sahar Al-Biblawi, accompanied by journalist Mahmoud Harbi.
