Five board members of the Journalists' Syndicate attended on Sunday a meeting at Al Ahram press institution to find a solution for the recent crisis between the syndicate and the Interior Ministry.
In a released statement, the five members reiterated their keenness to solve the crisis without violating journalists' rights or affecting the state's prestige.
They noted that they will meet journalists from different press institutions to listen to their suggestions about this crisis.
Last week, police raided the syndicate's premises in central Cairo and arrested two wanted journalists.
Police said that they acted on an arrest warrant issued for two journalists, Amr Badr and Mahmoud Al Saqqa, accused of inciting unauthorized anti-government protests.
